New Melleray Abbey Dubuque, IA. This is active Abbey just outside Dubuque, IA. The Abbey opens every day at 4:30 and closes at 8:00 PM. The Monks that live at the Abbey spend most of their day in pray. Visitors can write a pray request and leave it at the Abbey. The monks will honor
